Keep out – we don’t want you

Standard

That’s the mantra of recruiters and company HR — we want to keep out as many applicants as possible. Inclusion? Bah, humbug. Our job is to keep out the riff-raff, er, non-matches to our ever expanding list(s) of “MUST HAVE” skills.

Learning is not allowed. If you have to spend 5 seconds to look up something, get out. GET OUT! We don’t want you.

We have our lists – how to reject the most candidates. And, we have trained our entry-level staff to reject any senior-level resumes. Anyone with more than 5 years experience — no way we want them. Oooh. They won’t “fit-in” with our cliques. We can’t have any no-fits. So go away. We don’t want you.

Keep out

Standard

We don’t want to hire you. We want to find a way to keep you out. It’s not that you are not qualified; it’s that we have decided — without ever having met you – we don’t like you. Why? You are over qualified so you can’t possibly do this job.
